I want to start save up while am still employed and while the money is not being used for anything, I though I might as well put it to work. So what is a good mutual fund to put my money in?

Why not try SunLife!

Sun Life has been in the Philippines for over 114 years through Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. (S.L.O.C.P.I) when it pioneered and introduced life insurance to the Filipinos in 1895.  Thus, we are known as the First and the Oldest life insurance company in the Philippines.

Sun Life Asset Management Company Inc. (S.L.A.M.C) on the other hand is our Mutual Fund subsidiary.  S.L.A.M.C is the fund manager and principal distributor of the biggest family of mutual funds in the country – the Sun Life Prosperity Funds. The company is the first in the industry to have an accounting system that adequately complied with the standards set by the International Accounting Standards (I.A.S). S.L.A.M.C benefits greatly from the expertise of its mother company’s close association with Mfs Investment Management – the inventor of mutual funds in the U.S.

is there a mutual fund that you can just put money into online?

For Philequity for example, I make a deposit to the nearest BDO i can find and then fill up their additional investment form and then scan this together with the deposit slip, then send it to Philequity. The steps above can be a bit tedious especially if you only have a few minutes of your lunch time available.

Ano pa bang MU companies ang pwedeng ganitong setup?

Hope this helps. | Your smart guide to money matters and entrepreneurship.
