Ideally, it should be as early as you can.

Why?

Because the main factor here is time and compounding interest.

Compounding has greater power with time. The longer you have your investment, the more opportunity for it to grow. Investing, especially in mutual funds can be maximized in a long term. Regardless of the performance of your mutual fund, the trend is always going upward, so the longer you keep it, the higher the ROI is for you. Those who were not successful with these kind of investments are those who were impatient and want to gain in a short amount of time (which is not really possible).
These kind of investment is the passive investment that let's you invest then forget and after a while you reap your harvest.

So the younger you start investing, the better.

Am interested to know what could be other forms of investing where the principal gets compounded with a reasonable amount of interest/rate. meron nga ba?

Definitely it's not regular savings deposit kasi it only has very small interest. Tapos taxable pa.
Also, not Time Deposit even though it gets compounded. Sobrang Liit din naman depende pa sa principal at interest rates.

So any more ideas?

it's best if you invest in the stock market. This is the perfect time to buy because the market is low.
