Dati narinig ko China Bank is giving the best rate at the moment for 2.75% on average 90 days.

Rates have already gone down dati kasi nasa 5%-7% ang rate ngayon sobrang baba na.

I just dont know the current rates now

when it comes to time deposits, there's a general rule i abide by and know to be true.

the BIGGER the bank, i.e. bdo, metro etc. the SMALLER the RATES, the point is mayaman na sila and they don't need the cash as much, plus dahil established na sila, ur money is safer, less risk

The SMALLER the bank, the higher the rates, kasi maliit nga and they need the cash more, problem is dahil maliit, riskier. Hence palaging mas mataas interest rates ng rural banks compared to the universal big banks.

I just read this:
http://info.bpiexpressonline.com/bpi...eDepositRates2

Di ko masyado maintindihan ang time deposits...
For example nagdeposit ako ng 100,000 for 35 days.
Nakalagay dun is 1.875%.

So magkano magiging interest after 35 days?

Thanks..

@Neogemini... here's how to compute.

[0.01875/365]*35*100000 = 179.79452054794520547945205479452 /month

Another example: PHP10,000.00 TD:

35 days: PHP10,000.00 * 1.75% / 366 days * 35 days * 80% = 13.39 pesos interest

91 days: PHP10,000.00 * 1.875% / 366 days * 91 days * 80% = 37.30 pesos interest

baka matanogn mo ano yung 80%... meron po kasing 20% final withholding tax. This instead idivide mo ng 20%. multiply mo nalang ng 80% para net sayo yun.
