Does It Make Sense to Continue Pag-ibig Fund Membership?
« on: September 13, 2012, 10:10:55 AM »
Is there benefit in continuing one's Pag-ibig Fund membership after leaving the corporate world and going into business or self-employment?

Yes, and here are the reasons:

The interest rate used by Pag-ibig to compute a member's earnings is much higher than that given by banks for regular savings accounts.
A member can take advantage of Pag-ibig programs such as low-interest housing loans and personal loans.
A member is forced to save monthly, although voluntary members are allowed to miss monthly payments.
A member can save for his retirement. Retirement money is important, particularly for couples who cannot depend on other people for food, medical care and housing when they are already weak and old.
A member can save for his family before he departs from this world.

Kahit pa medyo maraming loopholes ang PAG-IBIG, handy siya lalo na pag may emergency at need mo ng fund source. Long-term benefits talaga ang maasahan mo sa PAG-IBIG.
