IT is a field that almost anyone can jump into, and you're very much welcome to our world
However, you have to  prepare yourself, for your brain get twisted of light

Generally there are two categories you can choose from.

A. Wide, multitasking focus courses.
  - Mostly IT Management courses. They do project management, like overseeing analysis, research and development, constantly worries and argues with B courses. Report to the bosses constantly, and even directly talk with clients.

B. Concentrated, narrow focus courses.
  - Computer Science; programmers/developers/engineers -the folks that furiously burn their eyebrows daily, and most of the time goes overtime to build whatever craft the above says.

although choosing either does not stop you from learning the other one later. Still, choose carefully as it will be your first step towards your long IT career.

Hi neogemini... i totally agree with sir Code

marami din kasing specialization ang IT... merong programming side... merong hindi..

kung ayaw mo ng programming or technical route, you can opt to choose the business-it background... para syang management course pero more on the technology... more on flowcharting/scheduling... business plans, business presentation.. pwede ka din mag technical tapos testing or documentation .... yung kabilang side naman is yung programming... eto more on architectural, systems design... basta technical nature ang work neto...

either way maraming nagsusuceed sa area na ito kasi we are living in the digital age na e..

as per specialization in IT, piliin mo yung mga indemand courses ngayon... dont rely to old and obsolete courses baka maiwanan ka .. masyadong mabilis kasi ang phasing ng IT... kung wala ka sa trend definitely mawawala ka sa track..
