Ok ba maging OFW or hindi? Any tips to share?
« on: August 30, 2012, 10:03:29 AM »
Hi guys!  I'd like to seek your advice sana kasi recently nagbakasyon yung ang mga dati kong officemates galing ng ibang bansa. Kinukumbinsi nila akong mag-abroad na rin. Parang gusto ko na ayaw ko. Seriously, medyo confuse ako. Kasi unang una ok naman yung job ko + may sideline business din ako which is doing fine din naman.  Share nyo naman yung mga experiences nyo para makatulong sa pagde-decide ko like some of my questions ay

1. Saang bansa ba kayo nagtrabaho o nagtatrabaho?
2. Bakit kayo nag-decide mag-abroad?
3. Ano nature ng work nyo dyan?
5. Gaano katagal kayo nanatili o mananatili sa ibang bansa?
6. Pros and cons ng pagiging isang OFW.

I mean yung living condition mo. Baka naman well established ka na rin dyan sa work mo bakit ka pa aalis dyan diba?

Maraming sacrifices din kasi ang icoconsider mo when deciding to work abroad. And to help you with your decision, let me answer some of your questions.

1. Saang bansa ba kayo nagtrabaho o nagtatrabaho? -> Singapore, Malaysia
2. Bakit kayo nag-decide mag-abroad? -> Financial Family Matters
3. Ano nature ng work nyo dyan? -> IT
4. Ano age nyo nung nagbalak kayo mag abroad? -> 26
6. Gaano katagal kayo nanatili o mananatili sa ibang bansa? -> i haven't thought about this siguro mga 10 more years? not sure
7. Pros and cons ng pagiging isang OFW.

Pros
a) You get to travel alot
b) You get to experiences alot of different culture and people. A good learning experience if your leaning towards an international competitive career which would equate to internationally competitive salaries kahit sa pinas.
c) Learn new languages and skills
d) Better compensation. Syempre much Higher Salary (although higher din ang cost of living dito compared sa pinas, makakaipon ka pa din ng malaki dito)
Cons
e) kawawa ka if you're ignorant of the laws and dont know how fight for your rights
