Stock Market for beginners
« on: August 06, 2014, 10:41:17 AM »
Let us learn the BASICS of Stock Market investing….

1.)  What is Stock, Shares, Share of Stock?

            - Stocks, Shares,Share of stock (all used in the same way) is the evidence of a fractional ownership in a corporation.  If you buy stocks of the company, you become a Stockholder (or Shareholder). In other words, you become part-owner of the company.

        2.)  What is Stock Market?

-The Stock Market is a place where you can buy and sell shares of stock of a publicly listed companies.

(Note : Hindi natin kailangang magpunta dito personally para mag transact, Ang kailangan lang natin ay ang Stock Broker para makapag transact on our behalf.more on this later).

3.)  Why invest in the Stock Market?

-Historically, Investing in the Stock Market has outperformed and provides higher returns than any other “fixed-income” instruments like bonds, government securities, savings accounts and time deposits in a long run.

(Babala : Ang pag-invest sa Stock Market ay may kaakibat na malaking Risk. ibig sabihin, walang guarantee na kikita ka dito, pero ayon sa History, malaki ang returns kapag nag-invest ka dito in a LONG TERM.)

Kaya I highly recommend investing in the Stock Market , If and only If, hindi pa natin kailangan ang pera sa lalong madaling panahon. Maaari nating i-apply ang 10-20-70 principle and make it a habit to discipline yourself. What is 10-20-70 principle? 10% for tithing, 20% for our investments, 70% for our living expenses. To learn more about this, click here.

4.) How do I make my money grow in the Stock Market?

-May dalawang paraan para kumita ka sa Stock Market investing, It is through Dividends and Capital Gains/Capital Appreciation.

Through a Traditional Stock Broker - Ito ay ang mga taong licensed at professional pagdating sa stocks na pwedeng mag-advice sa atin about investing strategies, gaya ng kung anong stocks ang kailangan nating bilhin, at kung kailan natin dapat ibenta ang ating shares, etc..You can take your orders to this broker via written instructions or through phone calls.

Through an Online Stock Broker(via internet) - Ito naman ang paraan ng pag-iinvest na kung saan ay ikaw mismo (the investor), ang siyang may kontrol ng iyong investments sa pamamagitan ng iyong computer at access sa internet.Investing through an online stockbroker is like being your own stock broker. You can place your "buy" or "sell" orders conveniently even at your home. Kailangan mo lang ay mag open ng account sa isang online stock broker(similar to the process in opening a bank account).

I am currently with COL Financial, Inc., at nagustuhan ko ang kanilang user-friendly interface at napakadali mag-transact and with lots of reports and information na makakatulong sa ating investing strategies.

I also recommend this lalo na sa mga newbie investors. Magagamit mo na agad ang Php 5000 na pondo mo to buy some shares of today's giant companies. Nag-ooffer din ang COL ng mga FREE weekly seminars on basic & advance investing in the Stock Market.
