I suggest you go to the malls only once a week! Try to limit going to malls kasi it only drives you to buy things which practically you dont want. In my experience,  i have noticed that by the time i get out of a mall, i would almost always have bought something. or even when if i just do window-shopping, i end up eating in a restaurant or fastfood because i got hungry!  napapagastos ako na'ng wala sa plano...

Try mo yung mga services ng mga bangko ngayon. they have this auto debit savings account where there's this automated or scheduled task of deducting certain amount and put it on your savings account... that is based on your payroll.... or kung gusto mo maexpose sa investment, they have this feature also. just go to the bank.... any bank like BPI or BDO. meron sila nun.

Pay yourself first every time you receive your salary. Savings is not what's left after expenses. Savings is what you set aside once you receive your salary

@neogemini... well depende sa target goal mo.... kung ang target goal mo e isang million sa loob ng isang taon, hmmmm... dapat substantial ang nilalagay mo sa savings account mo from your payroll... do you have that sufficient amount to save? That's the question.

But according to some experts, it's suggested to save more or less 50-60% of your monthly income... still depending on your situation and target goal.

There's this golden rule on saving: "income-savings=expenses"

Income is the amount you earn from your job
Savings is the substantial amount you want to save
Expenses is the remaining difference between income and savings used to pay the obligations.

Having this formula set, medyo mahirap din syang sundin considering the rising cost of expenses in electricity, water and utilities, personal consumption pero kung may disiplinado ka, kaya naman e.. motivation lang ang kelangan.

One of the things money managers advice people is to cut the credit, period. Credit cards have given us the habit of impulse buying--you can buy whatever you want, instantly. You only realize that you're living beyond your means once the bill arrives. So to solve this, don't use credit card or limit its use; bring it when you only absolutely need it. Leave it at home most of the time. If you're working in an office, I doubt you will use your credit card anyway. Most often one uses it on weekends, at the mall, while looking over items. Learn to carry cash (not too much though, or you might attract the wrong kind of people), and learn as well how to save up for something you might need or even want rather than take out that credit card and instantly buy it. You acquire more debt each time you use that card, and this will hamper your goal of saving money. In short, the lesson is simple: spend wisely.

Wag mag-Jollibee

wag mag-take out

wag mag-fast food

mag-gulay kayo 3-4 beses isang linggo

Here's what I am doing right now,

1. I never bring my credit card when I go out/to work. I only use it if I want to buy something na pede installment.
2. I only bring the money I need for that day (food, transpo)
3. Baon at least 3 times a week.

and trust me, it works. ;D ;D ;D

Some Professional Tips i have learned from the experts:

1. On Earnings: Never depend on Single income make investment to create a second source.
2. On Spending: If you buy things you don't need, soon you will have to sell things you need.
3. On Savings: Don't save what is left after spending, spend what is left after savings.
4. On taking Risk: Never test the depth of river with both feet. Mag business o mag aral magkaroon ng negosyo.
5. On Investment: Don't put your all eggs in a single basket. There's a term which is so -called Diversification. Learn to Diversify your assets.

And to add, sundin mo lang ang sabi ng mga financial gurus - pay yourself first. Income - Savings = Expenses. Live within your means.
